Image
I have a lot of hopes and dreams and number 1 on my list is to graduate from college and have a job after. But before I attain those things I need to study and do my best all the time not just for myself but also for my family. For my future work I want to be an accountant in a company that will provide me an enough salary to buy what my family and I needs and wants. I also want to have a great and nice co- workers like what Kumon and Gastro Publiko have. And I hope that I will be having a great working experience that I can share to everyone and cherish for the rest of my life.  And someday I hope that I can have the happiest and best life that everyone wants. I will work hard for my future to have the best and why do I need to settle for less if I can settle for the best right? So I will do everything to have the successful life that I want to have maybe not now but soon.

Blog Entry #9: Important Lesson Learned

Image
The most important lesson that I’ve learned in my work immersion journey was I learned to have a long patience. In the two companies that I went to really needed a lot of patience because I am dealing with different person every single day. I needed to be nice to them even if they were not. I needed to work even if it was hard especially when I was in Gastro Publiko the first struggle that I experienced was to stand   all the time even if my feet hurts. Everything that I experienced in my work immersion really developed my patience so that I could survive every struggle that I am facing and every hardship that I am experiencing. And I knew someday that every lesson that I’ve learned would help me to be successful in my chosen career and life, I just need to wait until the right time comes.

Blog Entry #8: Featured Employee

Image
There were lots of employees that caught my attention when I’m having work immersion. But this specific person made me realized that you should always be happy whether the tasks were hard or easy. And that employee was Kuya Elmer. He was one of the staff members in Gastro Publiko who helped in cooking and preparing dishes for the guests. He was my favorite employee because he always made us laugh whenever he cracked a joke and I’ m really thankful because that helped us to lessen our tiredness and enjoy what we were doing. And even he was so funny he was so dedicated to his work. He made everyone in the kitchen happy all the time and that was the most important. He also kind to us and always said we could rest if we are tired. And even if we’ve been together for just a short period of time I could say that he was a good person. And I learned a lot because of him and one of these was to smile and be happy despite of the hardship that I am experiencing.

Blog Entry #7: If I were the Boss

Image
If I would be the boss someday I would make sure that everything in the workplace was good. I would make policies for my staff members. First was what should be their attitude in workplace. They should have good attitudes toward their co-workers especially to the people that that they were giving service .I would also be strict in terms of time so that it would be fair to all especially those who came in time. I would give rewards and bonuses to those people that deserved those things. I would be honest to them when it comes to their behavior and the way they worked in my company. I would give an opportunity to my staff to speak their comments and opinions about the problems and for my company’s success. I would be a good example to them and I would treat everyone fairly.   And I would make sure that everyone was having fun in my company at all times.

Blog Entry #6 Featured Workplace #2

Kumon Center was a Math and Reading center wherein the teachers helped and guided the students on those subjects from easiest to the hardest one. Kumon Center was also a place where the students learned to be independent in answering math problems and questions in reading. I’m so amazed to the students there because honestly some things that they were answering were hard and I did not know. And I am proud of myself because I experienced to work there. I saw how the teachers managed their work how they guided and helped every students to understand everything. And if the student failed to perfect the activity he/she would repeat it until the students perfect it. Kumon center was not just a place where the students learned about mathematics and reading. It was also a place where you can be more responsible enough to do a task that was sometimes hard to do.   And I am so blessed because I experienced the thi...

Blog Entry #5: What is Most Difficult at Work?

Image
The most difficult task that I experienced at work was in Gastro Publiko. At first I am in the front or counter and it was easy because I'm just welcoming the guests, served them their orders and drinks, and etc. But when I chose to work inside the kitchen everything was changed. In the kitchen, we were preparing the things that would be needed like chopping the ingredients that would use in cooking. We also washed the dishes and the utensils that they used in cooking and we also swept and mopped the floor when we thought that it was needed.  Working inside the kitchen was the opposite of what I experienced in the counter. It was not easy because I'm not used to do such things like chopping onions, garlic, and other ingredients. Also, washing the dishes were not easy because the things that they're using were very fragile, so one wrong moved and you would broke it. And it was very hot inside the kitchen, so all of us sw...

Blog Entry #4: The Value of Hard Work

Image
Hard work is a way of doing everything by putting a lot of effort and care into work. Challenging ourselves with hard work builds discipline and character which are invaluable traits to have. Challenging oneself can help not to be lazy in life. Hard work also teaches everyone to be persistent. It also teaches us to push through when the times are rough and we think that we can't handle it. Hard work also makes us realize that there is no easy in this world that we need to experience hardship whether we like it or not.      But what is great in hard work is the satisfaction. Why? Because we are not just satisfying other people by exerting effort in our job to make our task successful we also satisfy ourselves that we make it even if it is not easy. That we can do it because we believe in ourselves. We feel happy every time we get our salary. Because we know to ourselves that we are worth that money. That it is the result of our sweat. And ...
